We closely monitor student learning and progress. In the classroom, teachers use anecdotal notes and observations along with discipline-specific evaluations to assess students. The Education Record Bureau’s (ERB) Children’s Progress Academic Assessment (CPAA) is administered to assess our kindergarten students. A child-friendly formative assessment, the CPAA monitors student progress and provides diagnostic screenings.
Students in grades 1-6 take ERB’s Comprehensive Testing Program (CTP), a rigorous assessment that compares content-specific performance in several areas to more conceptual knowledge. Both the CPAA and the CTP provide individual analyses as swell as national and independent school comparative stanines.
