Nationally recognized Story Pirates gave a special performance for grades JK-4th at the Bishop Walker School for Boys on Thursday, May 29, 2014. Story Pirates is a group of actors, comedians and teachers who celebrate and perform stories written by young people. Today, they performed a variety of entertaining stories written by elementary school students from across the country. The highlight of the program was their performance of a poem, “Gold,” examining the color gold through the senses, written by one of our very own fourth grade students Jamar Snell. Story Pirates concluded their hilarious performance with an improvisational story created by the entire audience about a dragon seeking the ability to breathe fire.
