Exciting Updates from the Bishop John T. Walker School for Boys!
Dear Friend of BWS,
Last month, despite a torrential storm, family and friends journeyed to the Bishop Walker School to honor our students’ incredible work at our annual Family and Friends Day celebration. With special musical performances and classroom visits, our boys shared highlights of what they have learned this year. We hope you will enjoy this brief video that captures the joy and pride that marked the day.
I am also excited to announce that the Catalogue for Philanthropy just named the Bishop Walker School “one of the best small charities in the Washington, DC region.” This designation means that you can give to BWS knowing that we have passed a rigorous evaluation and financial review process. We'll be listed in both their print and online catalogues and will be proudly displaying the Catalogue's seal on our website and other printed materials. We are honored that our hard work is being recognized in ever-widening circles.
Each year, we are able to provide our holistic educational program in support of our students’ academic, social and spiritual needs thanks to the tremendous generosity of supporters like you. If you have already given a gift this year, please accept my heartfelt thanks.
With just a few weeks to go until the June 30 end of our fiscal year, we could use your help to ensure that we end the year on a positive financial note. Your generous year-end gift today will help put us into position to begin the slow summer season with the resources we'll need to welcome our new 5th grade class in the fall. Any amount you can give will make a tremendous difference in the lives of our students.

Thank you for your continued support. We can’t do this important work without you. I encourage you to stay informed about what’s going on at the school by visiting our website and by following us on Facebook andTwitter.
With gratitude for another successful school year,
James R. Woody
